Organization Chart

Mission:

It consists in the management of public expenditures with economy, efficiency and effectiveness.

Main functions:

They can be summarized in:
Preparation of the Organic Budget Law;
Preparation of the Medium Term Budget Program (MTBP);
Preparation of the Annual Budget Law;
Public Investments Management;
Budget Implementation and Monitoring;
Regulation and coordination of Inter-Governmental Fiscal Relations;
Budget system and classification management;
Development of budget policies and analysis;
Preparation of legal and sub-legal acts, which regulates planning and implementation processes and the budget system as a whole;

The General Directorate of Budget is responsible for the continuous improvement of the budget system. While making the most of the international best-practice, this directorate proposes the eventual changes in the budget system, regarding the improvement of the existing legal and sub-legal framework
