Mission: National Fund Directorate mission is a special structure established within the Ministry of Finance,directly dependant from the Deputy Minister of Finance (NAO), with the purpose of decentralizedmanagement of the EU Pre-accession Assistance. This directorate, headed by NAO, performs thefirst function of NAO, the financial management of EU assistance based on IPA Regulation (CR718/2007), which includes the management of bank accounts, applying for funding from the EC,authorizing transfers of funds received from the EC to other operational structures and otherbeneficiaries of these funds, as well as financial reporting to EC.
